This is Arc#3 of Race for the Galaxy. After settlers encountered a violent xenophobic race, the 'Xenos', the galaxy finds itself under relentless assault. No negotiation is possible. Long-lost Alien secrets may hold the key to defeating these attacks. Can you build the most prosperous and powerful space empire while defending it from Xeno. As knowledge of JumpDrive spreads, an ancient race stirs, while another race flees a world doomed by the dying sun. This expansion adds 4 new start worlds, 18 new game cards, and 10 optional goals, providing a new way to compete and score victory points. If you do, Race for the Galaxy with the one-player expansion is probably a good choice, as I've known a couple people who seemed to enjoy the solo game a lot (and it is a card game with a lot of cards so it has a good amount of replayability).

'Race is essentially a 4X space game played with cards.'[edit]
I would argue the game lacks the two latter X's, and thus isn't a 4X game. Even if the RvI expansion adds some of this doesn't my sentiment change for the core game.
However, feel free to add the statement back if you can find a source; preferably changing it to something like 'NN considers the game to be a 4X-style game (ref to NN)'. Thanks, CapnZapp (talk) 12:01, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Exploit = produce/consume. Exterminate is more tenuous because military power is generally not used against opponents (except with RvI, and then it isn't a prominent feature). --Mugsywwiii (talk) 02:34, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
Theme & Influences[edit]
Should the article mention the theme & influences? Norton internet security for mac sierra. The rule book credits David Brin who created the Uplift Universe and Frederik Pohl as influences. Zabdiel (talk) 11:23, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
